Islam and art.. public contemporary vision
Dr.Nageh Ibrahim.. One of the contemporary dilemmas which faced by the Islamic movement, especially after arrive the parliament or being a part of the government, is how to introduce sophisticated art to Serve the community , in the same time do not collide with the parameters of Islam. So I will discuss this topic in my articles some coming and some soon.
- some identify art as that the production of Beauty and diffusion among the people.. It is a factory of beauty which is at the same time as the company which has distributed among the people.. This definition I see a real expressive about art and its message.
- Some may identify the art as the feeling of beauty, art, and express it.. This is a good expression, but weaker than the first definition, which links between the production of Beauty and the diffusion and dissemination among the people.
- so the Good reformer art form communities and identify the faith and published, and happy people, by the perfect not the forbidden art.. And knows evil and is trying to deflect people away from him.. The basic principle of permissible things.. but forbidden is only be text.
- so quran has warned to the beauty of the sky and said, "and beautified it for beholders"
-also quran warned to the beauty of the Earth and said, "and grew from each pair colorful".. Reference to roses , flowers and beautiful plants
Quran has used the word joyful.. as it delight and pleasing breath of refined beauty and splendor.
Allah said "we spring Gardens with its joy".. as if these plants, roses and flowers remove the depression and sadness because of her beauty and splendor.
- all creations of allah include two main components a benefit.And beauty.
- so This is clear in the verse, "and horses, mules and donkeys to ride and Accessories".
- The word “ride” denote to the utility.. and the Accessories sign of beauty.
- also You can look to the horse to see beauty and glory in it.. You can look to the little donkey to see the beauty as well.
- This is also evident in the verse "He who has subjected the sea to eat from it tender meat, and to get out ornament and wear it”
- as The first part of verse concerned with the element of benefit in the same time second part of the beauty concern with the pearl and other shells from the sea.
- we will discover that Islam is interested in beauty, because it deal with man not considering him as deaf eat and drink and sleep and marry and die having no feelings and emotions and have no sense
- Islam is interested in the spirit of human and support it with worshi.. And interested in the human mind providing him with science
- in the same time interested in the human body and provide him with sports, swimming, and so on.
- also he interested in the human consciousness and feelings and provided it by the useful art.
Islam considered the good art is an important means of formation of proper awareness among the people with its issues.
I have said more than once that the Islamic daawa is needing to perfect more than the need of the drama to the islamic daawa.
-the Film of the message, Omar Mukhtar and the series of Saladin and Baybars, for example, have greater impact than a million prayers.. And sign in souls of million lessons.
If we were able to show and introduce the history of Islam and issues of contemporary and our national history through drama of high technology by the artists themselves, this would be the greatest thing we give to our religion and our Islam.
And will reach all segments that do not go to the mosque or do not improve reading and writing.
There are Gulf countries spent billions of dollars on traditional Islamic daawa , but If they spent one tenth of these amounts to the production of films dubbed call of Islam in all languages of the world to connect true Islam to all corners of the earth without a lot of bother.
But the problem is the confusion between the elements of stability and development in Islam itself.. As well as the typically in methods and mechanisms.
